A friend and I recently stayed at this lodge and felt really comfortable there. The owners, Frank and Collette, were very friendly and made us feel at home. The beds were really comfortable and i just felt at ease there. The Lodge is not the fanciest place you’ll ever stay but it’s clean and tidy and welcoming. I would go back. Thank you for a really pleasant stay, Frank and Collette.

We have spent the night here and not a complaint at all the bed was really comfortable. The new owners have clearly worked really hard in the short time they have taken over. Frank is really welcoming and friendly. The breakfast we had was lovely. Free tea and coffee offered throughout our stay. The bedroom slept 3 and was really spacious and warm. The beds are brand new and clean and the bar is really cheap to have a few gins. Great selection of drinks and evening meals provided for those wanting to eat. The facilities are good darts pool snooker and coin machines. Frank was very helpful. WE will definitely recommend this little place can't wait to come back and see the renovations when they are completed. The locals were all friendly and chatty. Plenty of carparking on site. Thanks for making our stay perfect. Sam, suzie and lynne!

Came and stayed with 2 friends. The room was clean and newly decorated, the new owners are really friendly, currently on redecorating everywhere. Drinks are affordable, tea and coffee are available for free in the bar. Food is also available. The locals all seemed really friendly, didn’t mind 3 loud woman laughing at the back! Would definitely come back, would recommend people to come and stay. Close to Cadbury’s world and lots of places for food and drink.

Stayed here for 1 night and I think that's all I could take. Stayed here as was close to hospital but to be honest thinking back it really was tuo to standard at all. I paid cheap rate for the one night but I still paid money and for what you get when you stay here its really unacceptable standard. The hotels decor needed badly refurbished leaking shower, dirt around the bathroom, ripped wall papper and horrible smell of smoke throughout. Alot of noise from the bar downstairs and thier entertainment was on until the wee hours. The worst thing about our stay was the arupt house keeping staff knocking our door on a Sunday twi g us to get out at 9.45am and continuing knocking in we got out at 10.30. I think the management really need to rethink and give thier customers value for money. Not impressed customer/guest.

This was an alright stay but I will not be coming back! Check in was at the bar downstairs which was stressful enough as no one wanted to acknowledge you and you were fighting to be seen due to people wanting to be served beer at the bar. Took too long to be checked in. Once acknowledge the young lad was lovely and helpful. Entrance to rooms (stairs) was in complete darkness. Room was, meh. There was no curtain so we had to hang our coats so the light didn't wake us up (this would have been the least of our problems for what happened in the morning!) No tea & coffee, as suggested in advertised pictures. No towels! Only tiny hand towels. Room was cold and the radiator was broken. Damp on ceilings. Dirt on skirting board. There was no bin in the room. Cracked mirror. Spider webs in the wardrobe space. Stale smell. Did not fancy walking around barefoot. No wifi password given. Oh and to top it off, they had a barrel delivery at 7am!!! On a Saturday? Which shook the whole building/room like an Earthquake. Clinking and clanking. We weren't going to stay for breakfast but for £5.95 we thought to give it a chance. Breakfast - Dirty mugs, dirty milk jug which had old milk on the rim, dirty table linen. The food was nice in all fairness, lots of it and the lady who served us was lovely. For £30 a night, I guess you get what you pay for. The young lad and dark haired lady (who served us for breakfast) were lovely.
