First of all on the photos on hotels.com it looked quite nice but it’s terrible, ceiling tiles hanging off everywhere and damp, was staying here whilst working on nights so had the “do not disturb” sign on the door then the next day we was refused clean towels because we didn’t let the cleaner in as we was asleep, the staff are all miserable and rude and the place is a dump, worst hotel I’ve stayed in Birmingham

The room was dirty. Bath was disgusting. As soon as you walked into the room there was a front stentch of bleach. Damp on the walls. The fridge wasn’t working. The light in the bathroom was not working. The cleaners left the room door open on the second day luckily nothing was taken. Cleaners didn’t clean the room on the second day and then blamed it on for having the do not disturb sign up when we had the service this room sign. Staff were rude and called me a liar. Didn’t change the towels every day. Fire alarm kept going off. Water pressure was poor. Poor hotel will not recommend.

Stayed for one night. For the amount we payed it was disgusting, stains on floors and on dirty walls. Our door didn’t even close properly. Uncomfortable beds and don’t even want to get started on the staff, barely even acknowledged us and had no interest in us at all. Never seen staff so rude.

This hotel is by far the worst I have ever stayed in. From the moment we walked through the front door, the smell of fussy air hit us. Given a room key we go to find our room, only to be greeted with an unmade bed, cans of red bull on the side and used condoms in the bin. It is fair to say my partner and I made a quick exit and returned to the reception to speak to the receptionist. Who happened to inform me the room had been cleaned, I stated again the condition of the room we found and requested another room. This was done but the attitude of the receptionist was far from helpful. When going to the next room the key card would not work so again I had to return to reception to ask for the card to be activated. The receptionist didn't believe me and said "let me do it" took the card out of my hand and stormed off to the room. The key card did not work when she tried it and she had to use her master key card, no apology given for this. Entering the room we found the windows opened onto a brick wall (when the room we had paid for, a queen room, said city views!). There were chunks missing out of the ceiling, the front of the draws were missing, their was mould on the walls, the small was absolutely vile and for so called 'soundproofing' was a joke as we could hear the people in the room down stairs talking and banging doors. That was enough for me and I returned to reception to get a refund. Two receptionists met us there and stated they couldn't give us a refund as I had to speak to the manager but could give me a phone number to speak to him on. This was by a mile the worst service I have ever received when dealing with a hotel. It is fair to say I stood my ground and have now got confirmation of a full refund.While waiting for the refund confirmation to come though my partner and I could hear the receptionists laughing with one and other the fact that we found a used condom in the bin, as a gay couple this is not how we expect to be treated, this is damn right rude and out of order! Please do not waste your time or money going to this hotel. Rude, disgusting and what I personally find homophobic too. AVOID!!!!

Upon arriving at the hotel it looked nice from the outside. We drove into the car park only to be told that car park is full and we had to park in a side street. We could then park in the car park after 6pm. So why did we select option of free parking when we booked? At check-in we asked to book for breakfast but were told that the restaurant is not open. No reason given just it wasn't open. How can a hotel deny a man a breakfast? No alternative was offered. Opening the door to our room we were presented with the smell similar to cannabis. Not a good impression so far but there were more issues. The room was booked for 2 people yet there were only tea and coffee provisions for one with just one cup. We had to ask the cleaner for an extra cup. Obviously the hotel does not think about the small things. No information in the room. Only information was a notice on the wall of were fire exit is. No tourist information, nothing about room service, not even information on what number was needed to phone reception. Not every hotel has the same number. The walls were full of cobwebs and were needing a bit of attention as there were indentations in the wall were someone may have kicked the wall through. The bath panel was in desperate need of replacing as this was warped and bubbled. All in all, not a pleasant stay and will not be venturing here again.
