On first glance the apartment just needed some TLC and some air freshener. On closer inspection and opening of cupboards etc we were disgusted and extremely disappointed. The pictures speak volumes. Soooo dusty that it clung to our clothes on the shelf in wardrobe, blinds that didn’t cover window, kitchen absolutely disgusting! Food left in cupboard, dirty grill pan left in oven - which explained the horrible greasy smell! Dirty cutlery, carpets, sofa! Tv didn’t work properly and the list goes on!!! Manager didn’t seem too bothered. Blamed housekeeping and maintenance. Did offer one night refund.
I was moved to this hotel because my original hotel had over-booked. After a bit of confusion at check-in I went to the room and had a few problems. However, the girl on reception was very helpful and everything was sorted out. The room itself was fine bit this is very much lower end of mid-range. TV didn't work properly either.
Arrived at comfort zone apartments only to be told we would be staying somewhere else had to walk over a kilometer with bags to where we were staying first thing that hits us is the smell of smoke even though there’s a strict policy on smoking bear in mind we had a young girl with us the first thing we saw were homeless people sleeping on the stairways on the fifth floor where we were staying had to ring the police to remove them also had a hotline number if we had any difficulty a lot of good as the alarm went off Sunday morning kept ringing the hotline number no response had to disable it ourselves after a long process avoid this place at all costs ruined our stay
Great location next to the "Cube" & Mailbox. Small carpark but we had a space for 2 nights, £10 a night which should be free considering the price for staying at the apartment. Receptionist (Swedish girl) was very helpful and gave good advice about surrounding area. On entering are room it didn't smell fresh so had to open windows. Bathroom could do with a floor re-title and new panel on the side of the bath. All other rooms were in need of decorating etc. The apartments have great potential so hopefully some TLC will be given by the management & owners if they want future clientele to come back.
We arrived at Comfort Zone to check in where we had paid for a food shop for the weekend.we had booked 2 x 2 bed and 1 x 4 bed apartments. The 2 beds were a little disappointing - very basic, up on entering the 4 bed (which we could not get in until 3pm due to it being "cleaned") we were hit with a strong smell or smoke/cannabis (which as part of the rules we were told it was non smoking!). Further into the apartment there were hairs on the floor in the kitchen, dust on the sides, the windows and skirting boards were filthy along with the oven door. The bedrooms were not as shown on pictures, cracks in wooden floor, furniture was falling apart and there was a stain on the bedding. The girl on reception was kind about it and having shown her the room she agreed it was not up to standard but said they had no other rooms but would call her manager. She phoned back and said he would offer 15% off or money back. Having all agreed it was not worth the huge amount of money we paid... We spent the next 2 hours finding other accommodation. Upon getting the refund back we spoke to the manager who was nothing short of rude. He basically said we were lucky to get a refund and would not consider compensating for a taxi to another hotel or the food we then had to disguard. I would advise not booking th3se apartments, they are no where near worth the cost and being very generous... is barely close to student accommodation in quality.
